Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed:

Sam Bushman helps businesses make their websites work for everyone, and this website is held to the same standard. We want every visitor to be able to read it, navigate it, and get in touch, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content usable for people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing on every page, so keyboard and screen reader users can go straight to the content.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, and the item that has focus is always marked with a clearly visible outline.
  • Text and background colors are checked against WCAG contrast requirements.
  • The site uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface from the Braille Institute designed so that similar characters, such as I, l, and 1, are easy to tell apart.
  • Pages use headings, landmarks, and lists so they can be navigated by structure.
  • Meaningful images have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Every contact form field has a visible label and is marked required or optional. Errors are explained in words, listed at the top of the form, and linked to the fields that need attention.
  • Links that open in a new tab say so, both with an icon and in words for screen readers.
  • The mobile menu can be opened and closed with a keyboard or screen reader and closes with the Escape key.
  • Animations are turned off if you have asked your device to reduce motion.
  • The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
  • Pages load as complete HTML, so the content is available even before scripts run.

Other websites

This website links to other websites, including Liberty News Radio, Beat Crew HQ, Network Providers, Inc., YouTube, and Facebook. We do not control those websites, and this statement applies only to SamBushman.com.
